Spellchecking with Kupu

Guido Wesdorp, the Kupu pope, started support for spellchecking. Over the summer, Laurence Rowe emailed the list with some patches for making it work with Plone. This screencast shows the current status of these patches.

Details

In this screencast, both Firefox and IE are shown. In particular, Firefox's issue with blocking popups is illustrated. The screencast ends by showing how you can type a URL that talks directly to the spellchecker tool (in Plone) and gets back an XML results.

Setup

The website used a standard Plone 2.1.1 setup. The Kupu that ships with the Plone was uninstalled and replaced with a Subversion checkout of the Kupu trunk, with the spellchecking patches from Laurence Rowe applied. I also installed aspell and the English dictionary.
